About Muay Thai in Phuket
Known as Thailand's "fight island," Phuket has the richest Muay Thai scene outside Bangkok — home to world-famous training camps and stadiums that run fights every night of the week. Each night opens with the traditional Wai Kru Ram Muay, a ritual dance honouring the fighters' teachers, before real, full-contact bouts fought under professional rules.
Phuket's stadiums split across two areas. In Patong, Bangla Boxing Stadium and Sainamyen Patong Boxing Stadium put the action in the heart of the nightlife — ideal if you want to pair the fights with dinner and Bangla Road. In the quieter south, Sinbi Boxing Stadium and Rawai Boxing Stadium are built inside real Muay Thai camps in Rawai, where you'll watch fighters who train on site. Live English commentary and women's bouts feature across the island, so it's easy and exciting even for first-timers.
The stadiums
Bangla Boxing Stadium — Every night · Patong. In the heart of the Bangla Road nightlife, with the only nightly Muay Thai in Phuket plus MMA and kickboxing events. Open-air, from 1,600 THB.
Sainamyen Patong Boxing Stadium — Mon–Sat · Patong. Phuket's largest air-conditioned arena, with a free Muay Thai T-shirt on every ticket and drinks served to your seat. From 1,500 THB.
Sinbi Boxing Stadium — Saturdays · Rawai. Built inside the world-famous Sinbi Muay Thai camp — authentic fights in a modern air-conditioned arena. From 1,500 THB.
Rawai Boxing Stadium — Fridays · Rawai. A small, raw, fan-cooled venue inside the Rawai Muay Thai camp, and Phuket's most affordable fight night. From 1,300 THB.
M Arena — temporarily closed.
Getting there
Phuket's Muay Thai stadiums are in two main areas. The Patong venues — Bangla Boxing Stadium and Sainamyen Patong — are walkable from most Patong hotels or a short tuk-tuk ride. The Rawai venues — Sinbi Boxing Stadium and Rawai Boxing Stadium — are in the south of the island, best reached by taxi, Grab, or scooter (roughly 30–40 minutes from Patong).
